The Sun Held Its Breath

The Sun Held Its Breath (2025), Alliance Française de Lagos

In this series of charcoal drawings, Osaji explores intimacy and vulnerability in interpersonal relationships.

Vividly rendered portraits converse with vague forms on slightly textured paper, revealing the different ways we unravel to those we care about.

Selected drawings from this series were presented in the group exhibitions: “Between Fragments” (Yenwa Gallery, 2025), and “Sketch” (Alliance Française de Lagos, 2025)
