Many of the Nigerian people, particularly the poor have grown to believe the worst of the country is the best we can aspire to, grown to accept the abnormal norm of the country, desensitized by excess poverty and the oppressive misery created by the incompetence or wicked greed of the people in government. You can’t ask for more if you don’t know more exists or can be acquired.
A lot of broken spirits wandering this country, afraid to ask for better. Broken spirits empowering their oppressors, broken spirits sustaining the oppression.
Nigeria is a blessed country that has been hijacked by a group of people who divert the wealth & resources of the country to enrich themselves, their family, and accomplices.
Generations of brilliant minds have been made to rot, and the worst of us lord over the best of us.
The people have been beaten to submission, and their spirits have been broken but we have an opportunity to take a different path this election. Will it produce the desired result, nobody truly knows but it is a start.
In this journey, the future won’t carry the past along.
